The title of Fellow is intended to formally recognize CMCs in good standing who have provided exceptional service to the profession and whose achievements in their careers and in the community have earned them distinction and brought honour to the profession.

Leslie JohnsonLeslie Johnson, FCMC

Leslie A. Johnson is a deserving candidate for the FCMC designation, standing out for his exemplary consulting practice, service to the profession, and transformative volunteer activities, all making a broad and lasting impact on organizations, communities, and the consulting community.

Qualification as a Management Consultant

Mr. Johnson’s record as a management consultant is unparalleled in its breadth and depth over multiple decades. As President of Rankin Seabourne Company Inc., and founder of several leading consulting entities including Manitoba Institute of Management and Simpson, McGrath Associates, he has led hundreds of projects in Canada and internationally. His representative client engagements range from major infrastructure, mining, aviation, and energy projects to Indigenous economic development initiatives and transformative organizational redesigns. He has guided financial strategies, business expansions, and capital generation for a broad spectrum of industries, helping clients secure assets valued in the billions, restructure business models, and gain access to new markets and technologies. Clients and peers highlight his strategic thinking, deep analytical skills, and ability to define and deliver complex solutions that balance economic, social, and environmental objectives.

Service to the Advancement of the Profession

Mr. Johnson has been deeply committed to advancing management consulting in Canada and abroad. He has served on the CMC Provincial Council since 1987, chaired the Manitoba Chapter’s Examinations Committee, and contributed as Committee Chair of the Executive Track Admissions. He was pivotal in developing contracting standards and promoting the CMC Code of Ethics among colleagues and clients. Through seminars, presentations, and systematic outreach, he has promoted the CMC certification program at universities, colleges, and professional associations, effecting greater recognition for the consulting profession. His own professional practice is marked by high ethical standards and dedication to knowledge transfer and the continuous growth of others.

Volunteer Service to the Greater Community

Mr. Johnson’s volunteer engagement is extensive and impactful. He delivered over 70 pro bono Management Tutorials since 1986 for individuals without resources, supporting personal and professional development for new immigrants and underrepresented populations. He has mentored new Canadians, supported Indigenous and First Nations organizations, and contributed his expertise to a range of charitable foundations, including the Lions Foundation, Canada-Jamaica Foundation, and the Uzhgorod University Foundation. Many letters of reference highlight his mentorship, generosity, and ability to uplift individuals and communities, which have helped launch new social initiatives, businesses, and careers.

Evgeny Koloda, FCMC

Mr. Evgeny Koloda is exceptionally deserving of the FCMC designation, as evidenced by his breadth and depth of expertise, sustained leadership, and measurable impact across all domains of the Fellowship evaluation framework.

Qualification as a Management Consultant

Mr. Koloda’s consulting track record is outstanding, with demonstrable advanced technical and strategic acumen in digital transformation, IT strategy, and innovation leadership. As Senior Manager at BDO and founder of his consulting firm, he has delivered complex, high-value technology advisory projects for diverse public and private sector clients, including the Bank of Canada, the Royal Conservatory of Music, federal agencies, and Better Health Group. He consistently led successful, transformational initiatives, modernizing critical infrastructure, creating robust data governance platforms, and deploying advanced AI-based solutions that have resulted in long-term operational efficiencies and client endorsement at the executive level. He is recognized for his ability to bridge detailed technical recommendations with broader business needs, ensuring client satisfaction and sustainable outcomes at scale.

Service to the Advancement of the Profession

Mr. Koloda is a highly regarded Certified Management Consultant who has significantly advanced the profession through dedicated governance, thought leadership, and continuous professional development initiatives. As Director at Large on the CMC-Ontario Council, he has championed digital innovation and increased interprovincial collaboration. He led the technology stream for the Catalyst 2022 national CMC conference, implemented recognized virtual CPD programs, and was awarded the CMC-Ontario President’s Award for distinguished service. His CEO Times feature article, recognizing his rare skill blend, has also elevated his profile and the credibility of the CMC designation in Canada. His AI education workshops have been instrumental in expanding the professional capabilities of CMCs nationwide. Mr. Koloda’s mentorship of fellow consultants and visible advocacy at conferences have elevated both the profile and standing of the profession.

Volunteer Services to the Greater Community

Beyond his paid consulting roles, Mr. Koloda contributes substantial volunteer leadership and knowledge-sharing. He has actively served as a mentor for young CMCs, provided pro bono AI and technology adoption coaching for small business owners in rural areas, and led educational initiatives at cultural and language schools. His commitment to equitable access to advanced technology expertise for non-profits, educators, and small businesses underscores a deep-seated belief in broader societal impact. Desislava Nikolova, FCMC

Desislava Nikolova strongly deserves the FCMC designation on the basis of her exceptional consulting accomplishments, transformative leadership in the profession, and far-reaching community service.

Ms. Nikolova’s management consulting career spans more than two decades, marked by senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Philips, QA Consultants, ADP, and OpenText. She has executed large-scale transformation programs for Fortune 500 enterprises and major public sector clients across Canada and internationally, orchestrating digital modernization, operational turnarounds, and technology-driven growth. Clients and peers attest to her technical depth, strategic acumen, and the measurable results she achieves. Her approach integrates analytical rigor with empathetic stakeholder engagement, consistently producing sustainable, client-validated outcomes.

Service to the Advancement of the Profession

Ms. Nikolova’s record of service to the management consulting profession is remarkable. As President of CMC-Ontario and current Regional Director on the National Board, she led pivotal initiatives including the adoption of new governance standards, modernization for compliance with the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, and the launch of innovative programming such as the highly acclaimed CATALYST 2022 conference. She pioneered the use of AI-driven presentations and digital platforms for member engagement, championed inclusivity and leadership development, and improved mentorship pipelines through roles like the new Student Representative on Council. Her vision, strategic initiatives, and ability to drive technology adoption have elevated the stature and impact of the CMC designation nationwide.

Volunteer Service to the Greater Community

Desislava Nikolova’s contribution to the broader community extends well beyond her paid consulting roles. She has devoted over 2,000 volunteer hours in professional and charitable organizations, serving over a decade on the board of the Toronto Association of Systems and Software Quality (TASSQ), including five years as President. There, she modernized governance, grew membership, and fostered technology leadership. She is renowned for her mentorship of emerging professionals, students, and women in tech, both within AWS and the wider consulting community, nurturing future leaders and advocating for diversity. Her charitable engagement includes advocacy and fundraising for cancer organizations and career mentorship for graduate candidates.
